Bruce Malcolm, CEOBruce Malcolm is the Chief Executive Officer and originating founder of Trilithic, Inc. He is also chairman of the board of directors for the privately held company. Prior to his current position, he served as president of the company. Malcolm started the company from the modest beginnings of an engineering design and manufacturing company working on his pool table in his basement. He has over 40 years of experience in RF and microwave technology and management. Before founding Trilithic in 1986, Malcolm worked for 7 years as Business Unit Manager with Wavetek, a predecessor of the instrumentation division of JDSU. Malcolm began his career in engineering in 1963 as a development engineer for Litton Industries. Malcolm holds a BSEE degree from the University of California, Berkeley and studied for an MBA degree at Northeastern University, Boston. He has 12 patents/patents pending. Someone once asked me how to achieve success in business. I told them 'Never give up.' They said, 'But what about products and financing and the like?' And I said, 'They are all important but customers are the most important. Never giving up to increasing customer satisfaction is the bottom line.' |
Terry Bush, PresidentTerry Bush is the President and co-founder of Trilithic, Inc. and a member of the board of directors for the privately held company. Prior to his current position, he was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Trilithic's Instrument's Division. Bush has 22 years of experience in the telecommunications testing industry, beginning his career in engineering in 1980 as a cable engineer for a small CATV system, later progressing into system management. Before assuming his executive position with Trilithic, Bush served for 7 years as Tech Support Manager with Wavetek and became well-known a leader in the CATV industry. Bush holds an EET degree from Purdue University and has his name on 13 patents/patents pending. 'Network technology has made enormous strides in the last 20 years. At our founding, field test instruments were simple, single-function devices. Now these applications demand smart, sophisticated test systems, and continue to expand in complexity. The evolution of RF and microwave components has also been driven by expanding technology, growing from basic components into signal conditioning subsystems. Jeri Woodcock, CFOJeri Woodcock is the chief financial officer and Vice President of Finance of Trilithic, Inc. Prior to her current position, she was Controller. Woodcock has 25 years of experience in accounting inthe manufacturing environment. She was hired at Texscan Instruments Division in July 1980 as an accounting clerk and assisted the company with two acquisitions. She also uncovered employee embezzlement, and survived Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. She was promoted to Cost Accountant and finally General Accountant before Texscan was acquired by Trilithic in March of 1989. She was then hired by Trilithic as accounting Manager and promoted to Controller in July 1993. She completed her BS in Accounting from Indiana University (IUPUI) in December 1989. Ten years later, she decided to sit for the CPA exam. She passed the first two parts of the exam in May 2000 and the second two parts in November 2000. Woodcock was promoted to CFO in November 2002. She reports to the Board of Directors on all accounting issues while working directly with external auditors (D&T) and banking relationships. |
Randall S. Estep, CPIM, CIRM,CPM - Vice- President of OperationsRandall S. Estep joined Trilithic in August, 2004 as Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining Trilithic, Mr. Estep served in various capacities during 17 years at ComSonics, Inc .and as a founder of CEMSI, an electronics contract manufacturer in Harrisonburg, Va., as a Project Manager for 6 years at the former Ma-Com/DCC (now Hughes Network Systems in Germantown, Md., and 5 years at Jones & Laughlin Steel in Pittsburgh, PA. At Trilithic, Mr. Estep serves as Vice President of Operations and acts as President of Trilithic subsidiaries Coast CATV Equipment Supply in Corona, CA and Trilithic Asia Company, Ltd. in Bangkok, Thailand. Mr. Estep is a graduate of James Madison University (Harrisonburg, VA) and holds the following professional certifications: CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) and CIRM (Certified in Integrated Resource Management) from APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) and CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) from NAPM (National Association of Purchasing Management). Additionally, Mr. Estep holds 5 U.S. Patents in communications technology. Mr. Estep is also a professionally certified scuba diver with Dive Master status. Mr. Estep betas in Indianapolis, Indiana with his wife and three children. |
Mark Burton, Vice-President of RF and Emergency Alert SystemsMark Burton is Vice-President of the RF and Emergency Alert Systems Divisions of Trilithic, Inc. Prior to his current position, he was Director of the RF & Microwave Division. Burton has 28 years experience in the RF and Microwave industry including 11 years as Operations Manager for Alan Industries and 9 years in Operations and Sales Management for JFW Industries. Prior to his position at Trilithic, Burton was responsible for OEM Infrastructure Business Development for MCE (now Aeroflex Microelectronics) and was a founder of a small RF component company. Burton holds an EET degree from ITT Technical Institute. |
Gregg Rodgers, Vice-President of EngineeringGregg Rodgers is the Vice President of Engineering responsible for the design activities for the Instrument, EAS, Component and Filter product lines. Prior to his appointment to V.P. of Engineering, Rodgers was Instrument Engineering Manager for Trilithic Inc. and prior to that for Texscan Instruments. Rodgers has over 35 years experience in manufacturing and design of RF Test and Measurement equipment with 30 years specifically dedicated to design of broadband test instrumentation. Rodgers is a contributor to the NCTA Standard Practices Committee, a national body that defines testing methods for Cable Television Systems and a long time standing member of the SCTE. Rodgers is a graduate of Purdue University and currently holds 3 U.S. Patents. |

Jim Harris, Vice-President of Marketing Broadband Instruments DivisionIn his role as Vice-President of Marketing for Trilithic's Broadband Instruments Division, Jim Harris oversees the definition, development and marketing of cutting-edge communications instrumentation and test systems for Trilithic's global cable markets. Harris has 35 years experience in electronic instrumentation development - with 25 years focused in the cable industry. Joining Trilithic 20 years ago as marketing manager for the Broadband Instruments Division he has promoted the success and rapid growth of the Division in the broadband industry. Prior to joining Trilithic, Harris served in marketing leadership positions with Wavetek Indiana (now JDSU), Lucas Weinschel and Tektronix. He is an alumna of Purdue and Vanderbilt universities. 'This is a very exciting time to be in the broadband market,' observes Harris. 'With all the new technologies now coming on-line, the implications for consumers and business are enormous. Jeffrey Hale, Vice President, Chief Financial OfficerJeffrey L. Hale joined Trilithic in March, 2009 as Director of Business Development. Mr. Hale was promoted to Vice President of Business Development and elected Corporate Secretary in May, 2010. Prior to joining Trilithic, Mr. Hale served in various roles in his 14 year banking career beginning as a credit trainee advancing through the ranks to President/CEO of the former Symphony Bank which was acquired in 2008. At Trilithic, Mr. Hale serves as Vice President of Business Development and as Corporate Secretary. Mr. Hale is a graduate of Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) in Economics and was named a Distinguished Alumni in 2007 by Purdue. Prior to attending Purdue, Mr. Hale served 6 years active duty in the US Marine Corps and is a veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm. Mr. Hale is an outdoors enthusiast and avid woodworker. He resides west of Indianapolis, Indiana with his two dogs in the home he build himself. |
